H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid is to honor 21 winners of the 7th term of the Award During the Ceremony, the winners of Hamdan Award for Honoring Individuals working in the field of Medicine& Health will be announced 09 December 2012
Sunday, December 9, 2012 – Tomorrow, H.H Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance, Chairman of Dubai Health Authority and Patron of Hamdan Medical Award, will honor 21 winners of the 7th term of the Award in its 3 categories; International Awards, Arab World Awards and UAE Awards, during the Award Ceremony, at 6 pm, Rashid Hall, Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
 
Also, Prof. Najib Al Khaja, Secretary General, Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences, praised the winners, personalities and institutions, whose efforts enriches the health sectors and the humanitarian work locally, regionally and internationally, especially H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Advisor to H.H. President of UAE and the winner of Hamdan Award for Honoring Individuals Working in the field of Medicine and health in UAE and H.E. Dr. Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, KSA Minister of Health and the winner of Hamdan Award for Distinguished personalities in the Arab world. Also, during the Ceremony the rest of the winners of Hamdan Award for Honoring Individuals Working in the field of Medicine and Health in UAE will be announced.
 
Al Khaja said that holding the Ceremony in conjunction with the 7th Dubai International Conference for Medical Sciences (10 - 12 December) is the culmination of a 2-years effort by the Award. Significant lecturers from UAE, KSA United Kingdom, Netherlands, Norway, France, the United States of America and Australia will participate in the conference.
 
Al Khaja said that the 7th Dubai International Conference for Medical Sciences includes four scientific sessions and 16 lectures on Neonatal and Fetal Medicine, Nutrition in Infancy, and Inborn Errors of Metabolism. Also, the Closing Session of the Conference on Inborn Errors of Metabolism will be the Opening Session of the 9th Middle East Metabolic Group Meeting (12- 14 Dec. at JW Marriott Marquis).
 
He added that a Welcome Reception will be held today evening at Ritz-Carlton hotel for the winners and the members of the award’s Scientific Committees. During the meeting, the ways of enhancing the future cooperation with the winners with the aim of upgrading the health sectors locally, regionally and internationally will be discussed. 
 
Al Khaja pointed out that attending the Award Ceremony is open for everybody in UAE, and watching the activities of the 7th Dubai International conference for Medical Sciences will be available On Air via the website of the Award www.hmaward.org.ae.
