Under the patronage and in the presence of Sheikh Rashid bin Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Al-Maktoum Foundation, Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences participated in the celebrations organized by AL-Maktoum foundation on the occasion of the UAE’s 44th National Day.

 

Attended the celebrations are Mirza Al-Sayegh, a member of the Boards of Trustees of Al-Maktoum Foundation and of Hamdan Medical Award, Mohammed Obaid Bin Ghannam, the Secretary General of Al-Maktoum Foundation, Abdullah bin Souqat, the Executive Director of Hamdan Medical Award, and the staff members.

 

In the beginning of the celebrations, a march of boats kicked off from the area of the headquarters of the Ruler of Dubai and directed to Al-Shindagha area, where the participants enjoyed the show presented on the theater of the "Heritage Village".

 

Also, Sheikh Rashid bin Hamdan bin Rashid Al-Maktoum visited the "Dubai, fundamentals and prospects" Museum, organized by the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority. He was briefed on the displayed paintings and photos which reviewed the development of the Renaissance march of Dubai.

 

On the occasion of the UAE’s 44th National Day, Sheikh Rashid Bin Hamdan spoke about the value of the celebrations which renews the proud feelings and restores the memories of the founding fathers’ sacrifices. 

 

“Maintaining the federal experience is a sustainable national goal requires Solidarity, upholding the values of the Union, entrenching the constants, and citizens’ empowerment. Also, the interaction and integration between the federal state and the local government are important to perform its national responsibilities, honestly and transparently, in building up a strong nation”, Sheikh Rashid bin Hamdan said.
