H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid launches a new partnership with the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) 27 April 2017
27 April 2017: H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance, and the Patron of the Hamdan Bin Rashid Award for Distinguished Academic Performance, announced the launch of a new partnership between the award and the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) with the aim of developing education in more than 53 member countries.
 
Additionally, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan announced the launch of the “Hamdan-ISESCO volunteering prize for developing educational facilities in the Islamic world”, with a value of US $ 300,000.
 
This came during the ceremony of honoring 137 winners of the 19th term of the Hamdan Award for Distinguished Academic Performance by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
 
During the ceremony, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid delivered a speech in which he mentioned to the strategic partnership between the award and the Ministry of Education and many regional and international organizations, which has supported the award development from an initiative honors the distinguished performance to a complete program helps the educational institutions to reach to this goal.
 
This program provides quality models of projects for the education system in the fields of excellence, giftedness, and innovation. All of these projects contribute to improve the educational services and enrich the knowledge and skills of students through the establishment of modern types of learning, actually are the pillars of future education.
 
Attended the ceremony are Dr Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri, ISESCO Director General, the officials of the award, and a number of senior UAE officials.
