Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum donates GBP 40,000 to police Treatment Centre in Auchterarder, Scotland. 13 August 2017
Dubai-13 August 2017: Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, and UAE Minister of finance, has donated GBP 40,000 to the PTC (Police Treatment Center) in Auchterarader, Scotland.
 
In honor of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan and as a token of appreciation for his generous donation to the Center, a plaque was unveiled at the Auchterarder.
 
The unveiling ceremony of the plaque was held in the presence of Mirza Al-Sayegh, Member of the Board of Trustees of the Al Maktoum Foundation and Chairman of the Board of the Al-Maktoum College of Higher Education in Dundee, Scotland. Also present were Patrick Cairns, PTC Chief Executive, as well as Qasim Sultan Al Banna, Former Director-General of the Dubai Municipality, and a delegation from the foundation and the college.
 
His Excellency Al Sayegh stated that Sheikh Hamdan's donation will be made annually, and pointed that a part of next year's donation will be dedicated to establishing the Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Library in the Auchterarder PTC. The books for the library will be supplied by Al-Maktoum College, in collaboration with Al Maktoum Foundation.
