Dubai-21 September2017: On behalf of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance, Dr Rashid Bin Ahmed Bin Fahad, Minister of State, inaugurated the Second Middle East International Dermatology and Aesthetic Conference and Exhibition, MEIDAM. Delivering the inaugural speech of the conference, which is being held under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid, Dr. Fahad transferred the greetings of the Patron to all the guests participating in this conference. The conference is bringing together an elite group of scientists and excellent physicians as well as pioneers in the domains of dermatology and plastic surgery.

 

Addressing the delegates, Dr. Fahad said “The challenges that we are facing in dealing with dermatologic diseases constitute significant burdens that would cause us to look forward to set up the necessary programs and appropriate planning in order to address tackle the challenges which are of direct impact on the communities’ progress and development”.

 

He pointed that the conference is currently held in order to open the doors for discussing and following up of the most updated programs which enable us to benefit therefrom and start to deal with those diseases.

 

“The strategic location of Dubai and the absolute trust in its capabilities to be a starting point for providing initiatives, well ahead of other countries in the region, encourage us to search what is the best for the progress of our communities. The UAE strives to be the pioneer in the domain of providing assistance and support to all people”, he continued.

 

He Stressed that the continuous medical education programs, including conferences, training courses and workshops shall remain the pivotal concern of the wise and judicious leadership of our country for the purpose of development of medical care and health sector personnel. Ascending individual capabilities, development of human cadres as well as their resources are achieved by the continuous unerring guidance of H.H Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan UAE President, his brother H.H Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum UAE Vice President Ruler of Dubai and H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Supreme Commander of Armed Forces all, of which lead to the advancement of our communities in various domains and effectively contribute to the development through all available means. 

 

Dr Khaled Al-Nuaimi, President of MEIDAM, said, “The conference intends to provides an evolving and unique forum for discussions and exchange among researchers and clinicians from all over the world, as it facilitates the dissemination of the latest knowledge and expertise derived from research in the fields of Dermatology, Dermato-Surgery, and Aestheheics ”.

 

The conference is attended by 20 doctors from China and held in cooperation with various local, regional and international associations.

 

In addition, Dr.Saad El Sogair, Vice President of the conference introduced the pioneer award for the second year in row. This award is presented to a pioneering individual who has contributed effectively and effectively to establish the rules of specialization in the field of skin medicine and surgery in the region and has played a major role in enriching the specialization by passing on their experiences to the following generations. The Award this year was presented to Dr. Mohamed Amer from Egypt.
