Under the Patronage of H.H. Hamdan bin Rashid, the 19th Asia Pacific League of Associations for Rheumatology Congress Kicks off in Dubai 17 October 2017

The 19th Asia Pacific League of Associations for Rheumatology Congress (APLAR 2017) kicked off today, under the Patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance and Chairman of Dubai Health Authority. The Congress is supported by Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences, and is being held at Dubai World Trade Centre in the presence of the most prominent and renowned Arab and international doctors. The APLAR Conference will continue up to 20/10/2017.
 
The 19th session of the conference will address the latest studies, techniques and discoveries in the treatment of rheumatism and the fight against arthritis through a series of specialized sessions. In focus will be topics such as the control of rheumatic diseases, challenges of biological treatment, and other rheumatism-related issues. In addition, the most important medical companies offering new treatments will also exhibit their services and products along the sidelines of the conference.
 
About 2,000 rheumatologists from around the world are expected to participate in the conference. Seventy lectures and workshops will be held by professors and doctors presenting the latest techniques on the modern treatment of rheumatism. Workshops on the sonar of articulations and magnetic resonance, as well as special workshops to raise awareness of the rheumatism patients of the public will also take place.
 
APLAR is considered to be one of the most important medical events in this field, in terms of the scientific content of the conference and the strong networking opportunities it provides for the international communities concerned with the treatment of rheumatism, and this is indicated by the increase in the number of participants over the last four years to more than 3,000 participants.
