Dubai, UAE – 6, November 2019: Under the Patronage of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences, The Emirates Pediatric Neonatal Intensive Care Conference (EPNIC) is going to be held from 6th – 8th November 2019 at the Al Jalila Children’s Speciality Hospital, United Arab Emirates. EPNIC 2019 is being organized for the first time in UAE in association with World Federation of Pediatric Intensive and Critical Care Society (WFPICCS).
Dr. Abdulla Al Khayat, CEO of Al Jalila Children’s speciality Hospital said: “we are very pleased to host this very important conference, especially with the continuously evolving challenges and discoveries in neonatal medicine, whereby new technologies are leading medical innovation in this vital branch of paediatric medicine. The importance of Neonatal Critical Care is quite evident at Al Jalila Children’s as a core service, hence we have created a full-fledged Critical Care Centre of Excellence with a specific task to enhance our young patients safety, whilst adopting a family centered approach to ensure post treatment follow up”.
His Excellency Mr. Abdulla Bin Souqat, Executive Director of the Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences, emphasized His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid’s keenness to support and encourage specialized and dedicated medical conferences as a key and major element of the continuous medical education process. Mr. Bin Souqat added that the Award assesses and weighs the scientific value of the papers to be discussed during the conference, stressing that the award always takes into account the benefit and return to our medical community and doctors in various health institutions and establishments in the region.
For hir part Dr. Munira Almaazmi, the conference President, also commented on this occasion: “What our scientific committee has planned for this conference would be more than lectures and panel discussions on the mundane of the specialty. We have lined up many interesting and engrossing tracks on topics which take a more holistic approach to our specialty. It will be relevant to all those involved in pediatric and neonatal critical care, right from physicians to respiratory therapists; health informaticians to medico-legal consultants.
