Prof. Alkuraya mentioned that the Hamdan Medical Award was a pioneer in the Arab world in embracing and encouraging researchers in the medical field, as it aimed to highlight distinguished talents in the health sector and is considered a source of inspiration for the rising generations.
This was during a meeting between Prof. Alkuraya and H.E. For his part, H.E. Abdullah bin Souqat praised Prof. Alkuraya’s achievements in the field of genomics and human genetics, and his focus with his research team in translating the latest developments in genomics and his contributions that work to improve the health sector not only in the Arab world, but in the whole world.
It is worth mentioning that Sheikh Rashid bin Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum honored Prof. Fowzan Alkuraya and 13 other winners of the Awards of the 12th term of the Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences in a grand ceremony, at the Museum of the Future in Dubai, in the presence of a group of sheikhs, dignitaries, ministers and officials in the health and medical sectors.
