Responsible for setting up the policies and regulations that control publishing books, medical researches and publications issued by the Award generally due to the importance of medical publications in highlighting the Awards role and achieving its targets. This center is considered a complement to the Research Center which directly focuses on facilitating the publication process of all different researches performed by doctors and researchers in the medical field, which encourage researchers, allocateing special awards for best research published within the center activities

The Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences, announced the completion of the indexing process for the Hamdan Medical Journal in the “Directory of open access journals” which is one of the indexing platforms that adopts the policy of verifying that open access scientific journals follow the best practices of scientific publication such as the ethical considerations, acceptance guidelines and the peer review for all articles in line with the requirements of the major indexing platforms.
Dubai, 17th of January 2016: The Centre for Arab Genomic Studies (CAGS), a center of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences, has published a new booklet entitled "Multifactorial Disorders", aimed at informing the general public about common diseases with a genetic component. The publication of this booklet comes in conjunction with the 6th Pan Arab Human Genetics Conference, which focuses on multifactorial disorders, and will be organized in Dubai by CAGS from 21st to 23rd of January, 2016.
The Hamdan Medical Journal, a periodical issued by the Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences, has launched a new section about the history of the scientists previously honored by the award during its history which extends over 16 years and 8 terms.
The United Arab Emirates University honored the Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences in recognition of the award’s efforts in supporting many activities of the University such as the scientific research, the continuing medical education programs in addition to the medical publishing for studies conducted by the students in special supplements in the Hamdan Medical Journal.

Prof. Najib Al Khaja, Secretary General, Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences, chaired the meeting of the Editorial Board of Hamdan Medical Journal (HMJ). The purpose of the meeting was to monitor the achievements of the journal, in the light of its strategic plan which aims at reaching the journal to the ranks of the best specialized medical journals regionally and globally.
On the sidelines of the Arab Health Exhibition & conference which is being held in Dubai, Prof. Najib Al Khaja, Secretary General of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences, held a meeting with Professor Harald Rosen, Editor-in-Chief of the Award's Hamdan Medical Journal (HMJ), in the presence of Dr. Abdul Jabbar Mahdi, a member of the Editorial Board of the journal and Prof. Christoph Zielinski, Director of the clinical division of Oncology, University of Vienna. The meeting was held at the Seminar room of Dubai Medical College for girls, Rashid Hospital, Library Auditorium, to discuss the frameworks of the future mutual cooperation.
Center for Arab Genomic Studies (CAGS), a division of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences, recently published a booklet entitled "Diseases Covered by Neonatal Screening". The book is the 3rd issue of the "Genetics Made Easy" series issued by the Award. It is published in English with an Arabic translation.
Within the framework of the celebrations by Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences (HMA) of the 41st National Day, the Award has issued a new book entitled "UAE, Roots and Heritage". The book which is prepared by Dr. Ahmed Al-Hashemi, a member of the Board of Trustees of HMA, deals with the deep-rooted historical civilization of the UAE, which goes back to more than seven thousand years BC.
