Arab World Awards

This award is for a prominent institution in Arab countries. The objective is to provide an incentive for the development of excellence in research and education in Arab countries to enable them to conform with international standards and compete effectively with other international institutions.
The Prize amount is AED Nine hundred thousand (AED 900,000) to be awarded equally to two institutions from the Arab World.
Rules and Regulations

Nominations should include the following:

A letter of nomination from a nominating body in which reasons for nomination for the Award are mentioned.

Detailed research profile of the institution to include its background, services provided, important research work published and list of prominent individuals trained at the institution.

The nominated institutions' mailing addresses, telephones fax and e-mail.

Justifications for nomination (please provide evidence showing that the nominated institution is outstanding and has significantly contributed to the development of medicine & science. Include all supporting evidence such as field reports and external reports

Previous awards, honours, or recognition received (Please state the name, nature, source, and date of each.)

One hard copy and One soft copy of the whole dossier.

Only medical colleges, institutions or medical centres from Arab countries nominated by recognized medical organizations and groups shall be considered for the Award.

Each organization shall nominate a maximum of 3 institutions.

Medical colleges/institutions or centres with a proven track record and in the forefront of innovations in research, education and health services shall be considered.

Nomination papers/work submitted to the Executive Office shall not be returned whether or not the nominees win the Award.

The last date for receiving the completed nominated is 31st March, 2010.

The winning institution's name(s) shall be announced in a Press Conference held in Dubai during September 2010 and the Award shall be presented in an official ceremony to be held in Dubai during December,2010.

The Award shall consist of:

A trophy carrying the winning institution's name.

A certificate in the winning institution's name containing the name of the Award.

A total sum of AED Nine hundred thousand (AED 900,000) to be awarded equally to 2 institutions from the Arab World (AED 450,000) each.

The winning institution's representative shall be provided with a return business class air ticket, accommodation and visa to attend the Award Presentation Ceremony.

This award is for two distinguished personalities who have dedicated their life to the medical development in the Arab region. The objective of this award is to recognize the work that influenced for the medical development of excellence in the Arab region and the Arab community.
The Prize amount is AED One hundred thousand (AED 100,000) to be awarded equally to two personalities from the Arab World.
The winners are selected through the recommendations from the Health Ministries of the countries from the Arab World and based on the individual’s scientific and academic achievements which reflected on his/her personal contributions and dedications for the medical development in the Arab World. The Board of Trustees reserves the right to review the nominees’ status on the above areas to take a final decision. The health ministry of each country from the Arab World will be communicated and assigned to send their nominees.
