Today evening, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance, President of Dubai Health Authority and Patron of Hamdan Medical Award received a delegation of the Award who called to greet him on advent of the holy month of Ramadan, at Zabeel Palace. The reception was held after the Iftar banquet organized by Hamdan Medical Award at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, Dubai.

 

The delegation included Dr. Ali Rashid Al Noaimy, Director of the UAE University and a member of the board of trustees of Hamdan Medical Award, Mr. Mirza Al Sayegh, a member of the board of trustees, Prof. Najib Al Khaja, the Secretary-General, and Mr. Abdullah Bin Souqat, the Executive Director. Also the delegation included the previous winners of the Award and the members of the Award’s Secretariat, Scientific Committee, research support committee, the Council of the Center for Arab Genomic Studies and the editorial board of Hamdan Medical Journal in addition to the Award’s strategic partners and the officials of the Ministry of Health and Dubai Health Authority. Representatives from Hamdan Award for Distinguished Academic Performance and Al Maktoum Foundation and a galaxy of media people attended the reception.

 

Prof. Najib Al Khaja, Secretary General of Hamdan Medical Award, said that the reception comes within the framework of the keenness of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum on the continuous communication with the staff of the institutions which are under His patronage.

 

"The Iftar banquet, which is annually held by the Award during the holy month of Ramadan, helps strengthening the ways of the interaction between the Award and the other institutions within the UAE. The community service is one of our main goals, particularly improving the medical and health sectors", Al Khaja added.
