Abdullah bin Souqat inaugurates the “packages for Excellence” program 22 May 2014
Mr. Abdullah Bin Souqat, Executive Director of Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences, delivered the opening lecture of the "Packages for Excellence" program, which is organized by the Primary Health Care Department of the Dubai Health Authority (DHA). The program was inaugurated at Al Mazhar health center, Dubai, with the attendance of Dr. Manal Taryam, executive director of the primary health care department and about 35 managers from the DHA.
 
Mr. Abdullah Bin Souqat said that his lecture is the harvest of the experiences he gained through more than 3 decades of working in the health care sector in Dubai. He occupied a number of prestigious positions in the DHA, the last of which in 2007 when he was the Director of the Administrative Affairs of DOHMS (now known as DHA). Since then, he has become the executive director of the Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences.
 
“Through an interactive lecture I tried to shed light on my experiences to the future leaders of the DHA. I discussed with them the attributes of the successful leader and the importance of maximizing the ways of communication with their staff to achieve the desired objectives”, he said.
 
“Among the most important characteristics of the successful leader is his positive thinking, assuring the teamwork values and enhancing the capabilities of the employees”, he added.
 
Mr. Abdullah bin Souqat praised the "Packages for Excellence" program which consists of 6 lectures organized by the DHA along the year. “The program deals with the ways of success, how to motivate the employees and the communication among generations to enrich the experiences flow from the pioneers to the new leaders. Sharing experiences is an important element in the development process and for achieving the desired progress”, he said.
