In a distinctive Ramadan evening, the Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences held the Ramadan Iftar banquet at Al Bustan Rotana Hotel, Dubai, in the attendance of a galaxy of the officials from the UAE Ministry of Health, Dubai Health Authority, Dubai Healthcare City, the Emirates Medical Association, professors from the UAE Medical and Health Sciences colleges, and media people. Also, the Iftar was attended by the officials from the Award’s scientific committees, the Research Support Center, the Center for Arab Genomic Studies and the staff. The guests were welcomed by Mr. Mirza Al Sayegh, a member of the Award’s Board of Trustees, Prof. Najib Al Khaja, Secretary-General and Mr. Abdullah bin Souqat, Executive Director. 

 

Professor Najib Al Khaja expressed his pleasure about the Award’s annual gathering in Ramadan. “It is a unique opportunity to meet with the strategic partners of the award to exchange the congratulations of the holy month of Ramadan”, he said.

 

“The gathering which was held with the participation of elite officials from the healthcare sector assures that the efforts of the award to improve the health sector couldn’t be achieved without its cooperation with the relevant academic, research and healthcare authorities at the state level”, he said. 

 

On the other hand, the guests expressed their happiness to participate in such a wonderful evening, and appreciated the warm reception they have received.
