The end of October is the last date for receiving poster abstracts for the 8th Dubai International Conference for Medical Sciences
Prof. Najib Al Khaja, Secretary General of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences, reviewed the preparations for the 8th Dubai International Conference for Medical Sciences, which will be held from 15th until December 17th on Drug discovery, Vaccines, Targeted Therapy and Cell Therapy.
This came out recently in a meeting with the members of the Scientific Committee of the conference at Al Bustan Rotana Hotel in Dubai, will be the venue of the conference. For the first time, the winners of Hamdan Award for Volunteers in Humanitarian medical services will participate in the conference as lecturers in order to exchange their experiences in the field of the international voluntary work in many parts of the world which are suffering from difficult circumstances as a result of the epidemics, natural calamities and destructive wars.
Also, in the meeting, a decision has been taken to extend the last date for receiving abstracts for the poster presentations till the end of October giving the opportunity to accommodate possible number of researchers to participate in the conference. The abstracts are submitted through the conference website: http://www.hmaward.org.ae/conf.
Prof. Al Khaja praised the Scientific Committee members who are from the prestigious medical Universities and Centers in UAE. He has also praised their good selection of high quality scientific programme and the eminent International Speakers from the selected field of medicine. The conference adds the value to the Award’s history by giving the continuing medical education to the UAE doctors.
The scientific program of the conference will include significant lectures by the winners of the 8th term of Awards together with Grand Hamdan International Award winner on Drug discovery, Hamdan Award for Medical Research Excellence winners on vaccines, targeted therapy and cell therapy and Hamdan Award for volunteers in humanitarian medical services. Additionally, a number of important lectures by invited speakers from all over the world will add more scientific value to the event.
It is worth to mention that the conference is held in conjunction with the Award Ceremony of the 8th term to enhance the direct communication between the winners and the local, regional and global specialists in order to gain the scientific knowledge from their experiences.
