H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid AL Maktoum Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance opened the 20th edition of the Gulfood 2015 (8-12 February), at the Dubai World Trade Center in the presence of a host of local, regional and international ministers, ambassadors and dignitaries. 

 

This year’s edition of the show is considered the biggest in its history with the participation of more than 4,800 companies from 120 countries, reflecting the importance status of the show as the world’s largest annual food and hospitality event.

 

During Gulfood2015, a number of events are held such as the “Gulfood Leaders Events”, which hosts a number of international heads of state, ministers, government officials and C-Level executives from the private sector during a series of industry-shaping conferences and summits covering various food-related sectors. One of these events is the World Food Security Summit which is one of the world's most important platforms for addressing global food security action plans and policies. 

 

As a strategic enabler in Dubai's vision to become the global Islamic Economy capital, Gulfood 2015 brings together more than 1,000 international specialist Halal food brands and companies at the second annual Halal World Food - the world's biggest sourcing event for Halal food products.
