H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance and the Patron of the Hamdan Medical Award, inaugurated the 19th edition of the UAE International Dental Conference and Arab Dental Exhibition (AEEDC Dubai 2015) at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

 

AEEDC Dubai which is organized by INDEX Conferences and Exhibitions, is held with the participation of more than 1,600 exhibiting companies and supported by the Global Scientific Dental Alliance, the Arab Dental Federation, Executive Board of the Health Ministers Council for Gulf Cooperation Council States, GCC Oral Health Committee, Riyadh Colleges of Dentistry and Pharmacy, Arab Academy for Continuing Dental Education, and International Association for Orthodontics-IAO.

 

After the official opening of the event, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid toured the exhibition area and explored the latest medical devices, technologies and equipments displayed by prominent companies in the dental field from around the world. 

 

On the fringe of the opening ceremony, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan stated that the exhibition has increased by 15% this year assuring his constant support for the AEEDC Dubai conference and the exhibition which are expected to be ranked the first internationally in the coming 2 years.

 

“The economic status of the Emirate of Dubai and its geographic location are one of the major reasons of the success of these two events. Health and continuing medical education come on the top of the government's priorities”, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan stated.

 

Dr. Abdul Salam Al Madani, the Executive Chairman of AEEDC Dubai and the Global Dental Scientific Alliance said that: "AEEDC Dubai occupies number one position among MENASA region and remains to be the 2nd largest in the world”.

 

“The program of the conference includes more than 150 lectures delivered by 150 speakers to cover various topics that include the Endodontic, Infection Control, Laser in Dentistry, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Oral Implant logy, Oral Pathology, Orthodontics, Pediatric Dentistry and Restorative Dentistry”, he added.

 

 

Dr. Mohammed Abedin, Scientific Vice Chairman added: "AEEDC Dubai 2015 hosts this year three new international co-operations, that include the Olympic Committee for Sports Medicine, which is having its annual meeting in cooperation with AEEDC 2015, the annual meeting of the Arabian Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry, in addition to a symposium dedicated purely to daily aesthetics and functional problems of Implantology by the world-famous DentalXPImplantology platform and that is taking place for the 1st time outside of USA. 

 

AEEDC Dubai 2015 features a number of intensive scientific activities too, which include: the GCC Preventive Dentistry Conference, AEEDC Advanced Specialty Courses, 15 specialized courses & workshops, Poster and Oral Poster Presentations, the 6th AEEDC Student Competition with the participation of 6 universities, the Global Scientific Dental Alliance Meeting, and the AEEDC Dubai Awards.
