Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid al Maktoum and supported by the Hamdan Medical Award, H.E. Engineer Eissa AL Maidoor, Director General of the Dubai Health Authority and Vice Chairman of the board of trustees of the award, inaugurated the 3rd International Orthopedic Congress and the accompanied exhibition. The conference was organized by the Emirates Orthopaedic Society in cooperation with the UAE Ministry of Health, Dubai Health Authority and Abou Dhabi Health Authority.

 

With the attendance of H.E. Abdullah bin Souqat, the Executive Director of the award, and a galaxy of specialists, the conference was opened at the events Center at the Intercontinental Hotel, Dubai Festival City.

 

During his opening speech, H.E. Eissa Al Maidoor confirmed that the orthopedic medicine is one of the important medical specialties in which the UAE has achieved a significant progress by the establishment of a large number of training, therapeutic and surgical centers of excellence that provide services to citizens, residents and visitors according to the highest global practices and protocols.
