Hamdan Medical Award supports the 2nd International Conference of Top to Toe Transcatheter Solutions 20 February 2016

Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance, and supported by Hamdan Medical Award, Dubai hosted the 2nd International Conference of Top to Toe Transcatheter Solutions (4TS). The 2-days conference was held at Conrad Hotel, with the participation of about 500 doctors and specialists who received 12 CME hours accredited by the UAE University and the European Board for Accreditation in Cardiology (EBAC).

The Conference has been held in cooperation with the Dubai Health Authority, Emirates Cardiac Society, American College of Cardiology Chapter in UAE, International Society of Endovascular Specialists, International Society of Atherosclerosis, European Society of Atherosclerosis, and Turkish Society of Cardiology.

Abdullah bin Souqat, a member of the Board of Trustees and the Executive Director of Hamdan Medical Award, said: the Award’s support for this event comes within the framework of the directives of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum regarding supporting the outstanding medical events which have a direct impact on improving the provided healthcare services, particularly those related to the chronic non-communicable diseases to which all efforts are mobilized to be confronted methodologically.

Also, he praised the conference which focused on the concept of the multidisciplinary team of doctors in the treatment of cardiac and vascular diseases and in therapeutic catheter operations in all body parts.

For his part, Dr. Omar Kamel Al Hallak, Chief of Interventional Cardiology and Consultant Interventional Cardiologist, American Hospital Dubai, and the president of the conference, said: The conference included 148 lectures and 8 workshops presented by 100 keynote speakers from a number of leading world medical and educational institutions such as; Texas heart Institute, Johns Hopkins University, and the University of Washington in addition to top hospitals in the Middle East.
