H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance, and Chairman of Dubai Health Authority, received at Zabeel Palace the cardiac surgeons who participated in the 6th Annual Case Based Approach to Controversies in Cardiovascular Disease Conference, recently held in Dubai.

 

During the meeting, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan was briefed on the most important topics discussed during the conference, which was held under his patronage, and organized by the Cleveland Clinic and the Mayo Clinic, USA, in cooperation with the Emirates Cardiac Society, and supported by Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences.

 

H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid praised the efforts exerted by the international Cardiac surgeons who have participated in the conference, in finding out the advanced therapeutic methods for heart diseases. H.H. Sheikh Hamdan gave his directives for the officials of the Dubai Health Authority to invest such international medical gatherings held in the UAE, particularly in Dubai, in supporting the technical and scientific cooperation between the DHA and the international medical institutions and research centers, in order to establishing the humanitarian goals of medicine, and adopting the best therapeutic practices.

 

The meeting was attended by H.E. Humaid Al Quitami, the Board Chairman and Director-General of the Dubai Health Authority, and a number of officials and doctors from the DHA.
