Dubai, Tuesday, June 28, 2016: Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences held its annual Iftar gathering in Dubai with the attendance of members of the board of trustees including Mirza Al Sayegh, Dr. Ahmed al-Hashemi, Prof. Najib Al Khaja, and Abdullah Bin Souqat, besides a galaxy of officials from the UAE medical, healthcare, and media sectors, at Al Bustan Rotana Hotel, Dubai.

 

H.E. Mirza Al Sayegh praised the gathering which is organized on an annual basis with the aim of strengthening the bonds of cooperation between the award and its strategic partners in all fields and at all levels.

 

“The spiritual atmosphere of the holy month of Ramadan increased the magnificence of the evening which was a good opportunity to exchange congratulations of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr “, he said.

 

“During the meeting, many important topics in the medical arena have been reviewed including the announcement of the winners of the 9th term of Hamdan Medical Award, 2015-2016, which is centered on Gastroenterology”, he added.

 

It is noteworthy that the winners will be honored during the award ceremony on Dec. 14, which will be held in conjunction with the 9th Dubai International Conference for Medical Sciences (14-16 December 2016).
