Hamdan Award Participates In The Arab Health Congress 28 January 2013
Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences participates in the 38th edition of the Arab Health Exhibition 2013 and Congress, which is being held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. In this exhibition more than 80 thousand doctors and health care professionals and 3,500 exhibiting companies are exhibiting their products and giving lectures in different fields of medical specialties. Mr. Abdullah Bin Souqat, Executive Director of the Award, said that the Arab Health is a unique opportunity to meet a large number of medical professionals and health care product traders through the booth of the Award at Plaza Hall.
 
"In the Exhibition stand, the visitors will be briefed about the awards and its important activities and the future programs of the Award and also will explain how the interested can get benefited from that. The Award is a non-profit organization and its main goal is to work on improving the skills of healthcare locally, regionally and internationally", he said.
 
"During the Arab Health 2013, the Award is arranging for those from the Genetics field to register for the 5th Arab Human Genetics, organized by its Centre for Arab Genomic Studies (CAGS). The conference is to be held in conjunction with Golden Helix Symposium from 17 to 19 November 2013. The visitors will be briefed on how to participate in the conference and also to submit if they have an abstract for presenting in the conference on Cancer Genomes, Pharmacogenomics, Next Generation Sequencing and Diagnosis and Molecular Profiling", Bin Souqat Said.
 
"The Award is distributing the visitors of the Arab Health, the new topics of its 8th term 2013-2014 and the subjects are Drug Discovery for the Grand Hamdan International Award, and Vaccines, Targeted Therapy and Cell Therapy are the subjects for the Hamdan Award for Medical Research Excellence. These topics are the main theme in the 8th Dubai International Conference for Medical Sciences scheduled to be held immediately after the Award Ceremony in December 2014", he added.
 
"Awards' official publication is Hamdan Medical Journal (HMJ) which is published on every quarter in electronic and printed format and the copies are available at the exhibition Stand no. PZE 35 of the Award. Since its launch less than a year before, the Journal has reached a prime position on publishing the world class articles. The Arab Health visitors will be acquainted with how to get benefited from the website of the HMJ by discovering the research articles published on a particular selected field of medicine on each issue of 2012 and about the forthcoming issues one click away. Also it explains how to submit their papers to the journal for its publication. The submitted papers are evaluated by a high-level panel of specialists from all specialties.
