Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum: Hamdan Medical Award organizes the 2ND Arab Neonatal Congress 25 February 2013
Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance and President of Dubai Health Authority, Hamdan Medical Award will hold the 2nd Arab Neonatal Congress from 7 to 9 March at JW Marriott Marquis. The conference is supported by UAE Ministry of Health and DHA, with the participation of around 350 doctors and healthcare professionals from local, regional and international healthcare sectors.
 
Abdullah Bin Souqat, the Executive Director of Hamdan Medical Award said: "The considerable support by HMA to the continuing medical education programs is reflected on organizing a number of outstanding medical conferences, workshops and training courses through the year. The Award believes that developing the performance of the healthcare professionals requires enhancing the ways of communication between the local and regional experts and the international medical institutions in order to exchange knowledge and learn more about the latest findings in the various fields of medicine.
 
 
On the other hand, Dr. Khalid Al-Atawi the president of the 2nd Arab Neonatal Congress said: Under the theme "Brighter and better tomorrow", the conference includes 9 scientific sessions and 36 lectures with the participation of 29 keynote speakers from Australia, United States of America, Germany, Norway, Switzerland, England, Turkey, Syria, Jordan, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Oman and Egypt.
 
"This year's conference is a completion of the 1st Arab Neonatal Congress which was held during the month of April last year and issued a number of recommendations including the importance of improving the performance of the healthcare professionals in the region. We have selected many important topics for the regional healthcare professionals to be the topics of the workshops and the lectures of this year’s conference, including Neonatal Respiratory Problems, Neonatal Cardiovascular Problems, Neonatal Neurological Problems and Neonatal surgical Problems. Also, the conference includes 5 workshops on the Advanced Echocardiography, Advanced Ventilation and Animal Lab Course, Research Methodology, Breast Feeding Course and STABLE Course for Nurse. One of the main aims of these workshops is encouraging the Arab doctors to conduct more studies on the Neonatal Medicine within the region", Dr. Al Atawi said.
