24 May 2016: H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance, inaugurated the 2nd “Middle East Stone” and “Middle East Covering” for the interior surfaces’ materials, at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The shows are officially endorsed by Dubai SME, the agency of the Department of Economic Development (DED), Dubai. 

 

The 2 shows include free-to-attend educational events namely; The Designers' Forum and CPD Workshops. These events are considered a dynamic platform to share information and inspiration among interior designers, architects, manufacturers, contractors and designers. 

 

Abdul Baset Al Janahi, the CEO of Dubai SME announced that: "The community of Small and Medium Enterprises in Dubai has remarkable strengths in terms of enterprises’ diversity as well as innovation. Regarding the Dubai SME, one of its major interests is to guide businessmen in Small and Medium Enterprises to present themselves to a wider category of regional and international audiences. Our endorsement for these exhibitions supports such a critical and fast-growing industry, and provides a platform to demonstrate the Dubai SME’s resources in this sector".
